She’s back and this time she’s looking to track down something that was stolen from her. Cat Wilde has become a popular character in Play ‘n GO games over the last few years. And we’re happy to see her again. You can go along for the adventure for as little as €0.10 a spin, or as much as €100, giving it a big enough of range to suit almost anyone. Dig deep
You might have raided a few pyramids with Cat Wilde in the past, she featured in Cat Wilde and the Pyramids of Dead, Cat Wilde in the Eclipse of the Sun God, Cat Wilde and the Doom of Dead. If her surname sounds familiar, she’s part of the Wilde dynasty, following in the footsteps of Rich Wilde, who you may know from Rich Wilde and the Shield of Athena. This time while taking stock in the family archives, Cat has realized a missing chapter from an ancient book. Follow her as she descends below an ancient pyramid to recover the missing loot.
Meet the Wildes
Front and centre in the game are Cat and her Wilds. Both Cat and the Wilds will pay out 10,000x your bet if you hit five of them in a row. Horus, an ankh and a scarab round out as the high-paying symbols in the game. The low-paying symbols are classic card characters A, K, Q, J and 10. Paying between 150x and 5x your stake, depending on the symbol, and how many you have matched.
Uncover buried treasure
As with most legacy casino games, Cat Wilde keeps what made previous versions good, while adding a few new special features.
- Gamble or collect - Every time you hit a win, you’ll be presented with the option to gamble or collect. You can immediately keep your winnings and move on to the next spin, or if you are keen to increase your win, you can choose to gamble. When you gamble, you’ll be presented with the option to choose between either red and black (to double your winnings), or spade, diamond, club or heart (to quadruple your winnings). The onscreen card will be overturned, if you guessed correctly, you’ll get your reward. Guess wrong and you’ll lose your spin winnings. You can also choose to gamble again.
- Free spins - Free spins in Cat Wilde and the Lost Chapter are layered. There are three different scatter symbols in the game that will pop up at different times. Find three red and gold pyramids decorated with the eye of Horus to activate the first level of free spins. During free spins, the scatter will become a wild scatter and can substitute for all other symbols.
- Pyramid spins - Find at least two red and gold pyramids during your free rounds to start pyramid spins. Every time a new red and gold pyramid now appears on your screen you’ll be awarded an extra spin.
Verdict
Sequels can always go either way. Sometimes game studios will simply reskin a game and give it a new name. Thankfully all the games created around the Wilde family try to add something new.
